Personal and Writing Life
Emily Jayne (born 6 October 1998) is a writer and blogger born and raised in Nottinghamshire, England.
After graduating from the University of Lincoln in 2020 and 2021, Emily gained office experience in a solicitors before moving on to a job as a Teaching Assistant
She is now studying her PGCE whilst working as an English teacher
Other English and Writing Experience
As well as completing work experience at her local library, Emily also enjoyed volunteering for the Summer Reading Challenge, encouraging young children to read a wide range of books and escape into the magic world of words over their summer break.
Emily was the President of the English Society at the University of Lincoln, a student-led group aiming to engage students with their course and fellow course mates during their time at university.
Whilst working on her studies, Emily became the Social Media Manager for The Literate Earth Project UK, a registered charity which establishes literate communities in developing countries by investing in the educational needs of children. Currently LEP UK is raising money to supply books and build libraries in Uganda.
Education in English
Finished secondary school with fourteen GCSE’s, notably receiving an A in English Literature, A* in English Language and A* in Media Studies.
Completed A Levels in Media Studies, English Literature and History, achieving ABB overall.
Graduated from the University of Lincoln with a first class honours in BA (Hons) English.
Graduated from the University of Lincoln with a Distinction in MA Creative Writing.
